Adorn Event Hire was born out of Amanda’s desire to continue her artistic aspirations and create beautiful events. During her career as a dancer with ballet companies in Switzerland, Hong Kong and Canada, she was lucky enough to be presented with bouquets on stage which in turn (pun totally intended!) sparked her love of floristry.  

After retiring from dance at 33, she gained her floral training and dove straight into a high end, fast-paced flower shop in Canada. She then returned back home to Australia with her Canuck hubby and 13-month-old daughter.

In 2011, Adorn was born with the intention to offer decor that inspires and compliments beautiful floristry.  Gradually, she began offering both styling and floristry for her clients, which is now a sought- after service and the backbone of the company.  

Amanda is grateful to be supported by her family.  Her husband pitches in when he can on larger events, her dad, Geoff  is handy on the tools creating furniture, backdrops and marquee lights from scratch. Her mum, Barbara has dedicated countless hours of sewing and ironing through the years.  

Amanda also works alongside two long- standing, incredible assistants who affectionately call themselves “three chicks in a truck.” Beulah brings endless laughter and has an incredible eye for styling with a genuine love for flowers; she’s naturally gifted at floristry and can back a truck up like a pro. Kristine has been with the team almost as long as Beulah; she’s the most precise table setter around, excellent at everything crafty, meticulous at processing flowers and assists with those midnight pack-downs with expert efficiency.

For Adorn’s larger, luxury weddings Amanda is blessed to have her reliable and very talented freelance florists and stylists join the team to help make the magic happen, especially when they’re against the clock.

Amanda is passionate about bringing creative concepts to life and is thrilled when clients invite Adorn back to create more magic for another celebration in their lives.
